I had a very moooving experience today..

Who knew that girl cows have horns in France? Today is was all about cows and pastures. I mean the GR65 literally went through a bunch of farmers pastures today. You opened a gate and went through and closed the gate. You went though these muddy fields that were not always just mud. Made it difficult to traverse on a bike for sure and I sunk in more than once. It just wears you down. On the bright side I got to talk with more people today and I always enjoy that. There was a German mother and daughter doing it together, a French guy who spoke excellent English and a couple Dutch women doing it together. One of the Dutch women said that her husband had done it on a bike a couple years ago starting in Holland. Respect!

I did the two stages again today, but finding I get exhausted by the time I get to the destination, so I think I'll do a single stage tomorrow and leave a little in the tank. It threatened rain today and I was worried to get stuck in some muddy pasture with it raining and a long ways off from any refuge, so gratitude for that!

I'm in Saint Chèly du Aubrac tonight. A small, cute little town in the mountains with a small river running through it. The inn I'm at just did my muddy laundry so more gratitude. Hot showers fix a lot of problems as well...

I lit a few candles tonight in the cathedral of Saint Chèly. The French guy I talked with told me it was one of the most spiritual places in France.

I've been told that commenting on my blog isn't working. I don't know why but I had similar comments 3 years ago. Keep trying! You are always welcome to email me directly at designwald@hotmail.com and I can try and post them for you, but that also means I get editing power for any snarky comments like someone told me they tried to post with the picture of the "two asses" of me and the donkey :-)
