Close counts in horseshoes...

   Helmut and I put the petal down today and we did 60 miles. We will likely reach Saint Jean tomorrow. We just rode all day passing towns but we did take times to stop and take pictures and stopped at a convent on the Camino. 

  I'm staying tonight with a husband & wife who just opened the Gîte two years ago after previous professional lives in Lyon. They are remodeling an old Boulangerie and doing a nice job of it. It a second life for both of them, they met after their repective divorces with kids on both sides and just decided to slow down and liked the thought of hosting pilgrims on the Camino. 

  I'm so looking forward to Saint Jean, a place I started my own Camino in 2013 and went back to visit in August 2014. It's teaming with pilgrims and hopes and dreams of people starting their journey there and an accomplishment for me.  It's a quaint town with cobblestone streets and Gîtes galore.
