Great day on the Camino...

The weather was nice all day today, slightly overcast and sun came out in the afternoon. I rode with the Brazilians today and somehow they got this idea that I'm a crazy American. I know, totally out of character.... We had a steep 600' 12% climb this morning and a steeper 18% decline down.

About mid-day, we came across this Pilgrims Hospital run by nuns in a small stone building next to the Camino. They took in Pilgrims for the night and gave them dinner. I have heard this is the way that Pilgrims made their way along the Camino before it became so popular and Private Albergue and hostels popes up. It was sweet to see how it used to be.

I met up with a group at the hotel I'm at for dinner. A New Zealander, Canadian, a woman from London and two of us from the US. It's nice how things happen spontaneously here.
