What seemed like a good idea....

The Pilgrimage has began. The saga of the bike. Now in order to bike the Camino, actually having a bike would be a plus. However, somehow I convinced myself that I could check it, drag it to the TGV through Charles de Gaulle airport and then drag it to my hotel the first night in Bordeaux a couple blocks away. Now mind you, being an Engineer; I thought about this. I bought skate board wheels to tape to the bottom which sort of worked until I meet the cobblestone streets of Bordeaux dead tired for being up for 36 hrs. It is resting quietly tonight on the first floor janitors closet of the hotel St Jean in Bordeaux and I am enjoying duck and a glass of Bordeaux wine. All sins forgiven. Sleep will arrive and the last 4 hr train to St Jean will be welcome tomorrow.

I checked the weather for St. Jean. Looks like rain on the day I was hoping to start, Thursday. Oh well.
